Listening Room @ Mercury Studio, Durham
If you haven’t been to a Listening Room concert at Mercury Studio, you really should check it out. Small, intimate venue. No stage or any sense of separation between performer and audience. The folks at Mercury Studio have designed Listening Room to be an evening music and conversation, with Q&A being programmed as part of the evening.
Mercury Studio is located in the middle of the thriving nightlife of the Central Park District of Durham. My advice would be drinks before at Parts & Labor, FullSteam Brewery or Surf Club, then dinner afterward at one of any great spots closeby. (Google it!)
Oh, and don’t forget this is not a traditional music venue, so you’ll want to BYOB for the show.
I really hope to pack the room out with friends of Claybrook for some music and conversation as the year winds down. Dale Baker (co-producer) and I are really excited about the new album. We look forward to sharing the songs with you in this type of intimate space!
Here are some photos and videos from a previous Listening Room event with Django Haskins.
